Road Closures, Parking Changes in Effect for Arts Festival
Central Pennsylvania Arts Festival begins with Children and Youth Day on July 11, followed by the full festival July 12-15.
The borough will not be enforcing the “No Parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m and the one and two-hour restrictions from 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, to 6 a.m. on Monday", July 16, according to Statecollege.com.
Road closures will begin in advance of the festival, with all streets to be open again by 7 a.m. on July 16.
Street closings:
Monday, July 9: East Foster Avenue from D Alleyway to South Pugh Street.
Tuesday, July 10: South Fraser Street from West Foster Avenue to West Fairmount Avenue and West Fairmount Avenue from South Fraser Street to South Allen Street.
College Avenue and Beaver Avenue will remain open during the event, but drivers are urged to use caution with heavy foot traffic in the area.
Exhibitor parking areas during the festival will be strictly enforced. Vehicles will be subject to ticketing and towing. Various parking signs will be covered and temporary exhibitor signs will be posted.
Lawn parking NOT PERMITTED.
Visitors are encouraged to use the downtown parking garages at Beaver Avenue, Fraser Street or Pugh Street.
