Want to purchase a home, but have pets? Don’t end up in the dog-house!
Just as many renters find it difficult to locate rentals that accommodate pets, homebuyers also experience challenges in finding the perfect home to meet pet needs. If you are thinking of buying a home and are a pet owner, or are contemplating becoming a pet owner, the needs of your animals may be just as important a consideration as the needs of your family.
According to Realtor.com, over three quarters of American home buyers own pets. Of pet owners, 87 percent consider accommodating the needs of their animals important or very important. Pets are so important that 75 percent of homebuyers say that they would turn down their dream home if it wasn’t pet friendly.
