The Tyrone Area School District is a rural, public district spanning 176 square miles over the borough of Tyrone with coverage areas in Blair County, Huntingdon County, and Taylor Township. In partnership with the community, TASD’s mission is “to offer progressive educational opportunities that empower students to be responsible citizens and life-long learners in our democracy and global society.”
The district is home to approximately 1900 students with one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. There are many ways for students to get involved at Tyrone including clubs, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. Their school colors are orange and black and their beloved mascot is the Golden Eagle.
